History of Lighthouse Window Cleaning

John Shanahan, the Owner of Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc., has learned much in his career of corporate management. He has worked for national brands including Subway, Starbucks, Chipotle and REI. “I am thankful for the opportunity to apply the best of each, to build my own local brand of Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc.”

Twelve years ago John broke away from the corporate world to begin on the journey and dream of owning his own business. It was a challenging time, as he had five children spanning from first grade to High School. John’s wife Teresa, had just gone back to school to become a nurse. “Looking back, it seems like mission impossible.” Today, Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. has grown to provide jobs for twenty team members. Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. serves the greater Rocklin, Roseville, Auburn and Sacramento areas providing window cleaning, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, pressure washing and dryer vent cleaning.

Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. embraces the philosophy of attracting and retaining the best team members. John’s children, Andrew, Peter, Joseph, Grace and Michaela have all been involved in the business and have worked to earn money for their education. Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. recruits locally and hires mostly from customer referrals, friends and family. As summer approaches, we look for local high school seniors or college students to help us through the summer months. Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. is a great summer job for students. They also offer full time year round employment. Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. was also recently recognized as a “Wonderful Workplace” nominee at the Rocklin Chamber, as well as “Certified Smile Maker” at the annual Business Excellence Awards.

Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. has built values on providing a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all services. This one is from REI! At the end of the day, the most important thing to building trust, is to ensure all clients are 100% satisfied. Here’s an example of a recent Yelp review from a client:

“Chad came out yesterday to do my windows. He was very friendly, went right to work and did an amazing job. He took his time to make sure that every window was spotless, the tracks and screens cleaned and even took time out to do all the large mirrors in the house. After the job was completed, he wanted me to walk around with him to make sure I approved before he left. Amazing job Chad, thank you! I would recommend Lighthouse Window Cleaning to anyone who is looking to get their windows done.”

Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc. is also recognized as an outstanding business with Local Chambers of Commerce. We are often involved in community programs. We appreciate giving back in the way of gift certificates for non-profit Auctions and raffles. John, the Owner, has a particular passion for high school sports and supports many of the local sports programs as well.

John Shanahan, the owner of Lighthouse Window Cleaning, Inc., is an outdoor enthusiast. He has run eleven marathons, hiked the John Muir Trail, and crossed America on a bicycle. John enjoys camping and hiking, fishing and running in his spare time.

Why is the business named “Lighthouse?” Because John approaches life in a positive way: ”Each encounter you have throughout your day, you have an opportunity to make someone's day brighter!” John fosters this perspective with his team members and clients. John appreciates the symbol of the lighthouse as it represents strength and guidance. “We all need God's strength and guidance as we traverse life’s journey!”

Lighthouse Window Cleaning is founded in faith by John Shanahan in 1996. John has built his business on hard work, integrity, and service. Lighthouse Window Cleaning now proudly serves hundreds of home owners and businesses in Placer county, Nevada County, Sacramento County and El Dorado County.

  1. I feel window cleaning services are always useful whenever one feels that there is a lot of dirt and dust that have surfaced all over the glasses.
